The Wildwest Cx Series
The dates are set for Wildwest 2016 – our third season. We have made some changes and additions to make the series accessible to more people.
First, we are once again coming back to Coeur d’Alene but instead of it being the last venue in the series it will be the first. Coeur d’Alene will be September 10th and 11th, so you can get your Cx on that much earlier than last year. The link to registration is here.
Second, we are adding one new venue – Helena Montana. A number of people from Helena participated in the series and they had so much fun they want everyone to come to their race. It’s a great idea. The races in Helena will be the weekend of September 17th and 18th.
Also, because of some site availability issues the dates for Bozeman and Victor are going to switch. Bozeman will be the weekend of October 8th & 9th. Victor will be the following weekend — October 15th & 16th.
We are making Rolling Thunder in Missoula the series finale. So, different than last year when the finals were a two day event in Coeur d’Alene, the Saturday races at Rolling Thunder will be the final races of the series. That way we can hand out series awards on Saturday night and then, well, drink beer.
Finally, we are changing the scoring so that if you don’t hit every race you can win the series. This year, we will drop your two lowest scores so that 9 of 11 race results count towards the series overall in each category.
So here is how the schedule looks:
- September 10 & 11 – Coeur d’Alene, Idaho
- September 17 & 18 – Helena, Montana
- October 1 & 2 – Sandpoint, Idaho
- October 8 & 9 – Bozeman, Montana
- October 15 & 16 – Victor, Idaho
- October 22 – Missoula, Montana (Finals)
